Scholarship Description:
Under The University of Queensland Destination Australia Scholarship (International students) in Australia 2022 applications are being invited from eligible candidates. International Students are eligible to apply for this program. The scholarship allows Postgraduate, Undergraduate level programm(s) in the field of Agribusiness, Agricultural Sciences, Agriculture, Animal Sciences, Veterinary Sciences taught at University of Queensland . Interested candidates may apply for the scholarship as per set deadline. The application deadline is 16/01/2022

The Destination Australia scholarship is funded by the Australian Government Department of Education. It aligns with the National Strategy for International Education 2025.

The scholarship’s objective is to:

  • attract and support study in regional Australia
  • grow and develop regional Australian tertiary education providers
  • offer students a high-quality learning experience.
Sponsor Value

The University of Queensland will provide AUD $15,000 per year, for the duration of their eligible degree program (up to four (4) years for an undergraduate award program, or up to two (2) years for postgraduate award programs.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to apply for the Destination Australia Scholarship at UQ, an applicant must:

  • Satisfactorily complete the application process as outlined below (see ‘How to Apply’), and
  • Be able to be classified as an international student in Australia, and
  • Maintain a student visa for the duration of the scholarship in order to ensure protection under the
  • Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act 2000, and
  • Commence full-time enrolment as a new student in an eligible degree program (see Appendix) at
    the UQ Gatton campus in 2022 (i.e. be new to UQ and/or be new to the eligible program of study),
    and
  • By the scholarship closing date, submit all requested documentation to meet conditions associated
    with an offer from UQ for an eligible program.
